Every year a detailed planting plan is worked up for a new area of Waiwhakareke. The plans are designed to make sure the right types of plants go in at the right time to help the wetland grow to maturity. There are 34,000 plants needed for the next planting season at Waiwhakareke, including swamp flax, totara, lancewood, kowhai and much more. Why not give a gift or polish your own green halo by making a donation to Waiwhakareke? However big or small, your donation will go a long way to making the Waiwhakareke dream a reality.
